Spring Room Décor

January 24th 2020

Although it may not feel like it with the dark nights and cold days, Spring is on its way. It won’t be long before you’re noticing the days becoming longer and warmer as we approach March and April. This time of year, is a great time to start thinking about redecorating in preparation for the new season ahead. Spring is such a wonderful time of the year; as the days get lighter, flowers blossom and new life enters the world everyone seems to become a little cheerier. Using inspiration from springtime in your décor is a great way to inject a little of this positivity into your home all year round.

Pastels

Pastels are a springtime favourite, ice cream colours such as lilac, baby pink and mint green are all great colours which can be used in the home to inject a little bit of spring. Pastels also complement a number of other colours. If you prefer to keep things a little more neutral, grey is a great shade to pair with pastels; the majority of pastel shades look great with grey! Pastels are a great way to inject a little colour into your décor if you’re reluctant to go too bold with your colour choices.

Bright Colours

If you’re looking to liven up your décor a little then bright colours will be your new best friend; spring is full of life and so are bright colours such as bright oranges, yellows and pinks. Bright colours have a way of lighting up the room and improving your mood; with certain colours evoking certain emotions in some cases. For example, yellow is a positive colour which evokes happiness and freshness and pink is a loving colour which symbolises friendship. If bright colours are a little bold for you, consider their slightly muted counterparts or pair them with neutral shades such as grey or brown.

Florals

It is no revelation that florals are reminiscent of spring, but they still work well in a number of homes to brighten up a room and make it feel a little livelier. Florals have become much more versatile now than they used to be; previously considered dated there are now various different styles of florals to suit everyone. From ditsy prints which are dainty to bold abstract prints. There are so many ways to include florals; from bedding to wallpaper and accessories.

Sheer Fabrics

Sheer, floaty fabrics work well for Spring as they are lighter and appear more carefree and softer; all feelings which are reminiscent of Springtime. Sheer curtains for example can look great in Spring, in a blush or lilac hue to add a hint of colour. Moreover, they will look great with all our Spring décor suggestions and really help finish the room.
