This lightweight electric compaction plate is designed with an environmentally friendly electric motor and this wacker plate can be used on groundwork jobs indoors and in poorly ventilated areas as well as outdoors. It has front and rear manual handling points for easy 2-man lifting and the handle is removable making it easier for you to store. Low HAV (hand-arm vibration) design allows longer safe usage times.
The 110V wacker plate is perfect for helping you create a level surface by compacting base building materials such as hardcore, sand or cement. It can be used for compacting MOT or grano dust for a sub-base before laying paving, compacting a hardcore base ready for a patio or flooring.
Please note: this wacker plate requires a transformer, available to hire separately.

Questions
A vibrating plate, also known as a wacker plate, is used to compact materials like soil, hardcore, sand, or gravel to create a solid and level base before laying paving, concrete, or flooring.
Yes, the 110V electric motor produces no exhaust emissions, making it ideal for indoor use or in poorly ventilated areas where petrol or diesel machines wouldn’t be safe.
Absolutely. It’s lightweight, simple to operate, and designed with safety in mind, making it perfect for DIY users as well as professionals.
It’s great for preparing sub-bases for patios, driveways, and garden paths, or for compacting materials before laying concrete or paving slabs.
Yes, it requires a 110V transformer to connect safely to standard power supplies. The transformer can be hired separately if you don’t already have one.
Yes, it features front and rear lifting points for two-person handling and a removable handle that makes it easy to store and transport in most vehicles.
Yes, it works equally well outdoors, making it suitable for garden, landscaping, and construction tasks.
Vibration helps settle and compress loose materials, removing air pockets and creating a stable, even base that prevents shifting or sinking later on.
Yes, the low hand-arm vibration (HAV) design reduces strain, allowing you to use it safely for longer periods compared to older models.
You should check for debris on the plate, ensure cables are in good condition, and avoid using it on uneven or unstable surfaces to maintain performance.
You should wear safety goggles, gloves, and steel toe boots to protect against vibration, flying debris, and accidental foot impact.
It’s best suited for granular or mixed materials like sand, gravel, and crushed stone. It’s not ideal for clay or very wet soil, which can stick to the plate.
It produces some noise due to vibration, but it’s generally quieter than petrol models, especially useful for residential or indoor settings.
Electric models are cleaner, quieter, and safer for indoor work. They’re also easier to maintain since there’s no need for refuelling or exhaust management.
Disconnect the power, clean off any debris, and fold down or remove the handle for compact storage in your vehicle or workspace.
