Questions
The Hilti TE1000 AVR Breaker is designed for breaking concrete, masonry and floors at waist level or below.
The TE1000 features Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) technology, which reduces vibrations by up to 50% compared to conventional breakers. This means less fatigue when using the machine and longer safe usage times.
The TE1000 operates at 1600W and delivers a breaking depth of up to 125mm, chiselling through as much as 1.3m³ of masonry per minute.
This breaker uses the HEX (TE-S) connection system, ensuring secure chisel fitting and easy tool changes.
The machine weighs 12.5kg, but its symmetrical grip design and vibration-damped chassis make it easier and more comfortable to operate than many similar breakers.
You should wear grade 1 safety goggles (EN 166.B), ear protection, steel-toe boots and protective gloves. A dust extractor is recommended when working in dusty environments.
You will need at least an estate-sized car to collect and transport the TE1000.
Yes the breaker can be used both indoors and outdoors. When using electrical equipment outdoors or in damp conditions, it is strongly recommended to connect it through a Residual Current Device (RCD) for safety.
By lowering vibration to as little as 6.5m/s², the AVR system reduces strain on the user’s hands and arms. This means longer working periods and improved productivity.
The Hilti TE1000 runs on a 110V power supply, which is standard for construction and site equipment.
This breaker is ideal for floor breaking, medium-depth demolition, tile removal and site preparation work. For heavier demolition such as breaking reinforced concrete walls, larger breakers may be more suitable.
When working on a large area, ensure you have extra chisels available, keep blades sharp, and use the machine in combination with dust extraction equipment to maintain efficiency and a safe working environment.
Compared to pneumatic models, electric breakers are generally quieter, easier to transport and don’t require compressors. They are best suited for smaller to medium demolition jobs where portability and ease of use are important.
While formal training isn’t mandatory, users should be familiar with safe handling of power tools, PPE use, and correct demolition techniques to ensure safe and efficient operation.
