Questions
Each drying hire pack combines pump dehumidifiers and air movers. Pack 1 includes 1 dehumidifier and 2 air movers (suitable for 1 room), Pack 2 includes 2 dehumidifiers and 4 air movers (suitable for 1–2 rooms), and Pack 3 includes 3 dehumidifiers and 6 air movers (suitable for 1–3 rooms).
The pump dehumidifiers automatically extract and pump out up to 55 litres of water per day through a supplied hose that can discharge into a drain or sink up to 12 metres away. This means there’s no need to manually empty tanks.
During the drying process, air movers help circulate air across wet surfaces, speeding up evaporation. They can be positioned at floor level for carpets, directed up walls, or even placed on stairways to accelerate drying throughout the space.
Yes, you'll need both units as dehumidifiers remove moisture from the air while air movers increase airflow and evaporation. This combination dramatically reduces overall drying time compared to using one machine alone.
Absolutely. These hire packs are designed for flood restoration, leaks, or drying newly plastered rooms. The continuous pump-out function makes them particularly effective for longer drying tasks.
All equipment included in the hire packs operates on 240V power.
The pump dehumidifiers weigh 36kg each and come with a rigid handle & semi-pneumatic wheels for easy manoeuvring. The air movers weigh 18kg each and are compact enough for quick repositioning.
Each air mover delivers a maximum airflow of 4250m³/hour, with three speed settings to match the drying requirements of different surfaces and environments.
The dehumidifiers operate between 1°C and 38°C, making them effective even in unheated or cooler environments.
We recommend wearing steel toe protective footwear when handling equipment. Since these machines may be used in damp or outdoor conditions, a Residual Current Device (RCD) is also strongly recommended to reduce the risk of electric shock.
No, these machines don't require constant monitoring. The dehumidifiers have automatic pump-out systems so you don’t need to worry about emptying tanks. Once set up with the hose correctly positioned, the machines can be left to run continuously.
Drying times vary depending on the size of the room, the extent of the damp and ventilation. However, if you use the dehumidifier together with air mover, it typically results in significantly faster drying compared to using them separately.
Pack 1 is suited for a single room, Pack 2 can handle 1–2 rooms, and Pack 3 is ideal for 1–3 rooms or larger drying requirements.
Yes, the hire packs are excellent for both restoration work after flooding and for accelerating the drying process of plaster or construction finishes.
By hiring a complete package of dehumidifiers and air movers, you get a cost-effective solution that maximises drying efficiency without needing to source equipment separately.
