Questions
Double ladders have two sliding sections and provide medium reach. Treble ladders, on the other hand, have three sections and extend higher making them more versatile for taller tasks.
The Treble Ladder 2.5–6.0m extends to a maximum working height of around 6.05m, the Double Ladder 3.5–6.2m extends to 6.59m and the Treble Ladder 3.6–9.1m extends up to 9.32m.
Yes, these ladders are suitable for trade & domestic use. Each ladder is built with robust aluminium box-section alloy stiles that provide strength and rigidity, making them suitable for both professional tradespeople and home users.
The rungs on the ladders are slip-resistant, which improves grip & reduces the risk of slipping when climbing or standing on the equipment.
Yes, the ladders feature unique wrap-around top clips and secure rung clips which hold the sections firmly together & ensure smooth extension with reduced wear and tear.
The 2.5–6.0m treble ladder weighs 13.76kg, the 3.5–6.2m double ladder weighs 12.59kg and the 3.6–9.1m treble ladder weighs 25.82kg. All ladders are able to be transported by one or two people.
All models have a safe working load of 150kg, which includes both the user’s body weight & any tools or materials carried.
When using the ladders, we recommend Grade 1 safety goggles (EN 166.B), protective gloves, steel-toe footwear, and a helmet to protect against falling object where appropriate.
To make ladders safer on uneven ground or slippery surfaces, we recommend hiring or purchasing a ladder safety foot to stabilise the base.
Yes, the ladders can be easily transported. However, the largest treble ladder (3.6–9.1m) requires at least a truck-sized vehicle for collection & safe transport.
These extension ladders are best suited & commonly used for roof access, window cleaning, aerial inspections, alarm system testing, painting and general maintenance jobs at height.
Always place the ladder on firm ground at a 75° angle (1m out for every 4m up) & ensure it is fully locked into place before climbing.
To ensure safe use of the equipment, we offer ladder and stepladder training courses through HSS Training. The course teaches safe setup of the ladders, correct usage & best practices for working at height.
Extension ladders provide a greater reach for higher access, while step ladders are better suited for indoor or shorter tasks where free-standing support is needed.
Absolutely. The push-up operation and lightweight aluminium design means that one person can extend & position the ladder.Assistance is recommended though for the larger treble ladder for added safety.
