Questions
A combination ladder is a multi-functional ladder that can be changed into a stepladder, extension ladder, freestanding extension ladder, or stairway ladder, depending on the model.
We offer combination ladders in 1.9m, 2.4m, 3m, and 3.6m sizes, with working heights ranging from 4.4m to 9m.
One ladder can replace multiple types, saving space, cost and transport needs. They are ideal for professionals and DIY users who work in varied environments.
All models in this range have a safe working load of 150kg, making them suitable for industrial and trade use.
Each combination ladder offers four working positions, perfect for providing flexibility when working on different tasks.
Safety features include slip-resistant rungs & feet, box section stiles for rigidity and manual thumb-operated locking catches to prevent sections from separating. On some models, you'll also find stabiliser bars and restraining straps too.
1.9m model: up to 4.4m working height
2.4m model: up to 5.76m working height
3m model: up to 6.67m working height
3.6m model: up to 9m working height
As the ladders are made from aluminium, they are strong yet lightweight. The smallest model weighs 12.76kg, while the largest 3.6m ladder weighs 27.65kg.
The ladders are suitable for jobs where multiple ladder setups may be needed such as industrial trade work, property maintenance, decorating, electrical work and DIY projects.
Yes, the ladders are designed for industrial-grade use and come with features that meet safety expectations for trade and commercial environments.
When using the ladders, we recommend wearing protective gloves, steel-toe boots and a hard hat for site work.
At minimum, an estate car is needed to transport the ladders. Larger models may require additional space depending on their closed length.
Yes, one person can safely operate and set up these ladders, although with larger models like the3.6m version, you might find it's easier to have two people setup and move the ladders due to weight and size.
We offer ladder and stepladder training courses through HSS Training, suitable for individuals or businesses who need to ensure compliance and safe practices.
Combination ladders offer greater flexibility and reduce the need for multiple ladders, but they may be heavier than a single-purpose stepladder or extension ladder.
