Product highlights

Bostik Plasterer's Stabilising Primer is specially designed for the plastering professional. The pregrit product primes and stabilises most interior surfaces, providing an excellent key for skim coats. Unlike other plasterer's primers, this product contains 100% recycled plastic that's evenly dispersed in water-based polymers, which doesn't require mixing and can be applied straight from the bucket with a brush or roller. The plastic particles don't flick off the brush or roller like sand can, so there's no mess during application, and there's no risk of sand being dragged through the plaster as with other products. Sand-based plasterer's grit products can also absorb moisture from the plaster, which causes it to dry too quickly and crack. With Bostik Plasterer's Stabilising Primer, the risk of cracking is significantly reduced. The plasterer's primer can be applied to porous and non-porous surfaces including brick, block, concrete, plaster or plasterboard. The high-performing plaster stabilising solution can even stabilise problem surfaces, such as well-adhered emulsion paint and wallpaper adhesive residues. Once applied, it can be left to dry completely before the first coat of plaster is applied, meaning you don't have to wait around for it to go tacky and are free to complete the job at a time that suits you. The distinctive colour of the green grit for plastering makes for a controlled application and ensures even coverage. This stabilising primer covers approx. 3m² to 4m² per litre, depending on the porosity and texture of the surface being prepared.
