Payment and delivery

'One day' is the rate for the first 24 hours. 'Weekend' refers to our 3 for 2 weekend hire deal: if you pick up at noon on Friday and return by noon on Monday, you'll be charged less than the price of two standard days. Unfortunately, the 3 for 2 weekend hire offer does not apply to OneCall products.

Some equipment is listed as 'POA', which stands for price on application. This applies to tools and equipment secured from third parties, whose prices can change regularly. To get an up-to-date price, just give us a call.

Extra day is the price paid per day after a hire period of 2 weeks.

All our prices exclude VAT. To show prices with VAT, use the ‘inc VAT’ function is located in the top right of the page.

Cash or debit card

If you place an order online, you can pay with a credit or debit card on site. You can also pay by debit or credit card in branch, or over the phone prior to collection or delivery.

Credit card

We accept all major credit cards online and in branch for hire or purchase of any HSS products or services. If you're hiring a product, in most cases this means your hire is completed before your card statement is due. For long-term hire, charges are made at two-week intervals.

30-day account

If you'd like to hire from us on a regular basis with up to 30 days' credit, please call in to your local branch or click here to register online.

Our rates for delivery and collection vary depending on your location; you'll receive a quote when you place your reservation. Deliveries are normally made from Monday morning until Saturday at noon.

There is a minimum charge of £10* plus VAT each way for delivering to or collection from an address within 10 miles of the nearest branch.

For large and towed equipment, additional charges may apply; these will be quoted before your hire or purchase is confirmed.

Yes. Orders placed before 10am can have deliveries in the afternoon of the same day. This is subject to availability

Yes. We operate a click and collect service within our branches for online orders. You can order online and collect in store as quickly as 1 hour from when the order was placed. This is subject to availability.

Yes, a deposit is equal to two weeks' hire is charged for all equipment. This is refunded when the equipment is returned, minus the hire cost.

Identification and returns

Before any delivery or collection, you’ll need to provide two forms of identification (one photographic and one proof of address). Your branch team will be in touch to organise this with you. 1 x photo ID e.g. passport or driving licence.

Accepted forms of id include passport or driving license as your photo id and a credit/debit card or a utility bill (dated within the last six weeks) for proof of address. Failure to provide identification could result in a delay with your order.

Equipment remains on hire, and therefore chargeable, until it's returned to one of our branches. If you require a collection, please call 03457 282828 and ensure you obtain an off-hire number. The security of any equipment remains your responsibility until it's collected by us or has been returned.

Finished with the kit you've hired from us? Simply call 03457 282828 and quote your contract number – we'll end the hire and give you a confirmation reference number.

The equipment will be collected at the earliest opportunity convenient for you – usually the next working day

Yes, we ask that you clean equipment hired from us before returning it. A cleaning charge will be levied if equipment is returned dirty.
