Light Vibrating Plate is perfect for maintenance and repair work such as compacting hardcore, sand, gravel, soil or tarmac to make a smooth surface ready to lay artificial grass, create a pathway or driveway, fill a pothole or lay a greenhouse base.
The wacker plate is lightweight but with a strong compaction force to get the job done quickly. You can use it safely for longer periods of time due to its low hand-arm vibration and the baseplate that does not dig in when dragged or turned makes it easy to manoeuvre and control.
Please Note - Fuel is not supplied with this item. We are restricted by law from selling petrol however petrol can be purchased from a petrol station using an approved petrol storage container. A petrol can is available to buy from HSS and can be added when completing your purchase online or purchased in branch.

The light vibrating wacker plate is used to compact hardcore, soil, gravel, sand or tarmac. It can also be used to prepare a solid, level surface for artificial grass, driveways, paths, pothole repair, as well as base layers for sheds or greenhouses.
There are two weight options for the light vibrating wacker plate - 62kg or 73kg. If you have a preference, you can specify the weight during booking by speaking to a Live Chat advisor.
This model is lighter and easier to control & manoeuvre, making it ideal for smaller areas or jobs where agility is important.
While it’s lighter than heavy-duty models, this wacker plate still requires a vehicle at least the size of a truck for collection. Built-in lifting points and a front lift cage help with loading and unloading.
The light vibrating wacker plate uses petrol to operate. Due to legal restrictions, we can not supply fuel. You’ll need to purchase petrol separately using an approved storage container, which can be bought in-store or online from HSS.
When using the light vibrating wacker plate, you should wear:
- Grade 1 safety goggles to EN 166.B standard (or grade 2 spectacles for less hazardous work)
- Ear protection such as earplugs (suitable for short-term use)
- Protective gloves (PVC, cotton, or rigger gloves)
- Steel-toe safety boots
